SPU-34 Airborne intercommunication system
SPU-34 is designed to provide intercommunication between the crewmen, external radio communication, listening to navigation and audio warning signals, communication with ground maintenance personnel, public addressing to the passengers in the cabin by the crew, and voice transmission to cockpit voice recorder.
SPU-34 provides:
- telephone intercommunication between the crew, as well as between crew and passengers;
- outside telephone intercommunication via radio sets;
- listening to navigation devices;
- listening to special signals;
- voice data output to the cockpit voice recorder
Some SPU-34 versions include marker receiver with antenna input and provide:
- receiving radio signals from marker beacons;
- generation of voice and light indication in the presence of radio signals.
