RPA-500 Airborne direction finder

Direction finder is designed for determination of the direction to radio emission source in the frequency range of 100-512 MHz. Direction finder allows scanning the specified frequency range, including emergency frequencies 121.5 MHz, 157 MHz and 243 MHz, as well as to receive and decode the signals from COSPAS-SARSAT search and rescue system.

Direction finder provides:

  • determination of the direction to the emission source in the frequency range 100 to 512 МHz;
  • detection and bearing of emergency signals on the frequencies 121.5 МHz, 157 МHz and 243 МHz and on COSPAS-SARSAT frequencies;
  • receiving and decoding of COSPAS-SARSAT signals;
  • determination of the direction to the emission source on the all modulation formats;
  • the mode of the listening to the signals sources.

Direction finder components:

  • antenna (B15-RPA)
  • control and indication unit (B8-RPA unit)

Developed jointly with AVIACOM
